“Her life was a work of art…” This is how Fr. John Antony described our beloved Dianne Hart in his homily during the Mass of Christian Burial at the Abbey Church of St. Benedict last week. So many kind words were shared by Dianne’s colleagues, family, former students, members of religious life and friends. Dianne was ever aware of the gifts God had bestowed upon her, especially the gift of teaching and she was eager to share that gift with others on a daily basis. She was a loving and attentive wife and mother of three beautiful children. She endured all she suffered in humbleness and with vigor. She was patient, kind, generous, and embodied all the values of the Benedictine spirit that a place called Subiaco models. She was indeed a happy person through it all.
Many people have inquired about ways to offer memorials in honor of Dianne Hart. It is with great honor and pleasure that we announce the forming of the Dianne Hart Endowed Memorial Scholarship at Subiaco Academy. Teaching mathematics to students was Dianne’s gift and her passion and she shared them so freely wherever she taught or tutored. She ignited the love of numbers in them all! Through the generosity of a loving couple who dearly wish to keep Dianne’s love and dedication for Subiaco Academy students alive, over half of the scholarship is already funded.
Today we invite you to join the many who wish to honor and memorialize Dianne by joining your gift to complete this fund.
