BROTHERS IN FAITH: 7-12th grades participated in a youth ministry retreat on Sunday. Hosted by Sacred Heart in Charleston, Arkansas, students took the opportunity to grow in their faith while having fun and sharing the day with approximately 90 students from parishes in the area. The day was filled with thought-provoking speakers, ice-breaker games, volleyball, Adoration, Mass, reconciliation, and crafts. Fr. Reginald Udouj, OSB presented the theme of "The Holy Spirit", followed by pizza and homemade brownies - a winning combo! The next campus ministry event is planned for Oct. 20, the Diocesan Sr High Rally. Be watching for registration info soon! #subiacoacademy

Our Jazz Ensemble provided live entertainment Saturday evening at the 2024 Fiesta of Solidarity Feast in Fort Smith all in support of the Girls' Education Matters scholarship program sponsored by St. Scholastica monastery. The Sisters of St. Scholastica have continued their long tradition of providing quality education by establishing a girls’ scholarship program with a Benedictine school, Colegio San Benito, in Esquipulas, Guatemala. This is the ninth year for the jazz ensemble to play in support of the event. The band played an impressive set, and this was their first public performance of the year. Each year, under the guidance of Deacon Roy Goetz, in addition to assisting in the Fiesta of Solidarity, Subiaco Academy sponsors a Lenten collection for the G.E.M. Program during their spring semester. We are grateful for solidarity of the faithful partners who have helped to build the “bridge” to Guatemala. Onward Trojans and STP! #subiacoacademy

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Br. Benoît Stelly, OSB, to the important position of Subiaco Academy Porter!
As the Academy's Porter, it is Brother's responsibility to greet and welcome not only faculty, staff, & students, but all guests and visitors who come to our campus. The Porter’s office in the Main building lobby, is where you will be able to find his smiling face.
We thank him for his assistance in helping us deliver on our mission of growing our young men graciously into manhood. Welcome Br. Benoît!
To read the The Rule of St. Benedict Chapter 66: The Porter of the Monastery (Academy)
“ At the door of the monastery, place a sensible old man who knows how to take a message and deliver a reply, and whose age keeps him from roaming about...As soon as anyone knocks, or a poor man calls out, he replies, “Thanks be to God” or “Your blessing, please”; then, with all the gentleness that comes from the fear of God, he provides a prompt answer with the warmth of love...”

Go Trojans!! #onwardtrojans #subiacoacademy

In the past 11 years, Subiaco Academy has had 9 graduates attend the four U. S. Military Service Academies. On Wednesday our student body was treated to an inspiring presentation by one of our alumni, who went on to attend the U.S. Naval Academy and continues to pursue a successful career in the Navy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lieutenant Logan Kremer, Subiaco Class of 2015, for his generous dedication of time and the words of encouragement he shared with his Subiaco brothers. His reflections highlighted the values that continue to guide him in his service: the brotherhood that fosters selflessness, the unwavering mentorship of Subiaco’s faculty, the discipline instilled through his education, and the opportunity to deepen his Catholic faith on campus, an experience he has not found anywhere else.
LT Kremer’s words serve as a reminder of the lasting impact Subiaco Academy has on its students, and we give glory to God for shaping another exemplary leader through this institution. During a special session with the senior class, LT Kremer offered focused guidance on preparing for life after high school, emphasizing the importance of direction, discipline, and readiness for the challenges ahead.
To visit our campus, register for our Open House on Nov. 15 and hear another Subi alum and U.S. Naval Academy graduate speak about what it takes to earn an appointment to a military academy. For details contact admissions@subi.org or call 479.934.1000. #subiacoacademy #subiacoacademyalumni #onwardtrojans

Every Wednesday morning, we celebrate our student Mass, where the active participation of the students creates a special sense of community.

OUR JUNIOR CLASS visited a college fair yesterday hosted by the University of the Ozarks. They had the opportunity to gather information and meet over 50 representatives from colleges and universities in the U.S. They also bumped into Subiaco alumni who currently attend the University of the Ozarks. Thank you Jackson Frederick ('21) and Matthew Friemel ('24) for your time and interest in your Subi brothers.

Grades 7&8 enjoyed a day out on retreat at Devil's Den State Park. It may seem like an odd venue for a religious retreat, but it is a beautiful location! The theme for the day was based on chapter 48 of Saint Benedict's rule, the daily manual labor. The prayer and spiritual talks focused on the value and dignity of work well done.
Subiaco Academy is fortunate to have Dcn. Roy Goetz, Fr. Patrick Boland, O.S.B., and Mr. Rob Pugh who are dedicated to the faith formation of all of our students. #subiacoacademy

The Yearbook Staff is working diligently to have a great publication for our school this year! Working on captions and quotes, and learning the proper form of journalism. #subiacoacademy
