
A great day for the swim team at the Clarksville Invitation on Wednesday! The 200 Free Relay and the 200 Medley Relays teams, composed of Daniel Wu, Tanner Komp, Samuel Wu, and Sebastian Lacerte, placed first and 2nd, respectively, and continued to set new school records in each state qualifying event! Another state qualifying performance was swum by Daniel Wu in the 50 individual Freestyle; he placed 4th and swam to his best times.


A little fun project to help Academy students get through finals! These Chinese scholars cooked Korean Army Stew in the PAC kitchen during free study period. They loved it!





Right after the semester exam, the swim team headed out for the swim meet in Clarksville today. They just got in the pool for the warmup. So proud of our Subi swimmers! Let’s go Trojans! Swim fast tonight!



More Christmas fun!




It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Subiaco Academy! Santa even stopped by to do a bit of tutoring before exams begin this week.




Subiaco Art students display some of their recent wood burning projects.



Seventh grader Carson Zayouna defeated all seventh and eighth grade spellers at Subiaco Academy this afternoon to become the school champion. Seventh graders Nicholas Constantino and Kai Cruz were runners-up. All three students will represent our Academy at the Logan County spelling bee in January.



The Honors Church History class enjoyed a guided tour and private organ performance at Saint Andrew Cathedral in Little Rock. The class also visited Saint Edward’s and learned a bit about its connection to Subiaco.





The Junior High Quiz Bowl Team has been busy the last couple of weeks! November 30th they competed in a quad match at Southside where they took second out of the four team tournament. Yesterday, the team played two matches against Ozark winning both matches. Impressive work, gentlemen!


The Jazz Ensemble performed to a full house at the 2022 Fiesta of Solidarity at Christ the King in Fort Smith. Proceeds from this event will help fund GEM (Girls’ Education Matters) scholarships to San Benito school in Guatemala. Subiaco Abbey and Academy are long time Partners in Education with San Benito.

One of the highlights of the AP Physics fall semester - the Flying Pig Lab!



The last day of November was cold and clear. A perfect day for the 9B retreat in the Mulberry River valley. The day was spent in prayer, hiking and enjoying great food at the Oark Cafe.




Some jr high students did an awesome job for the Chinese calligraphy project. A lot of talents on campus!

The Academic Programming committee met this morning in the library conference room. The goal of the committee is to give students a platform for sharing student voice regarding curriculum, academic facility needs, and staffing concerns. Students will discuss aspects of academic programming that will lead to a list of recommendations for curriculum, academic facility future planning, and retention and recruitment of highly qualified and mission appropriate faculty.


Our student council president lights the first candle of the Advent Wreath. As we prepare to welcome Christ, the Light of the World, we are called to reflect Christ’s light with our words and actions as we prepare for Christmas.

The Subiaco Swim Team kicked off their season at the Cyclone Invitational hosted by Rusellville High School. The 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay teams, composed of Daniel Wu, Tanner Komp,Sebastian Lecerte,and Samuel Wu, clinched their spots in the state meet by swimming state qualifying times AND set new records in each event!
Daniel Wu placed 2nd in 100 Breaststroke and 5th in Medley. Samuel placed 2nd in 500 Free and 3rd in 100 Butterfly. They both made state qualifying times. All Subiaco swimmers swam personal best times! The Trojans placed 5th out of 10 schools.





In Outdoor Adventure PE this week we have been working on fire building. Is there a better way to utilize fire than to celebrate the arrival of Thanksgiving break with fresh biscuits and sausage for breakfast?! We hope everyone has a safe and restful break spent with family and friends.
