The Pool is back up and running. Thank you for your patience while we worked diligently to get it up and running again.
The Subiaco Pool will not be open during its normal 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM swim time today June 21, 2023. Due to the recent storm the pool filters and pumps have not been running and is closed until further notice. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to pool@subi.org. Thank you
Thank you to all of the families and players who supported and participated in this summer's Trojan Basketball Camp. Also, thank you to Coach Tencleve for passing on his love of the game and for developing the next generation of hoopers across the River Valley.
The last two weeks have been busy for our administrative team. Dr. Wright, headmaster, made presentations on several topics to SpringBoard USA and the Catholic Boarding Schools Association. #OnwardTrojans #SpringBoardUSA # CBSA
Congratulations to Connor Haynes and Brody Koch! This two young men were identified as two of the top 88 high schoolers in Arkansas and recently played in the Xtra Innings Arkansas Baseball Showcase in Marion.
Traveling west across the Navajo reservation we visit Window Rock, the capitol of the Navajo Nation. Following a chance meeting with the President's chief of staff, we are honored with a private audience with the Navajo president, Dr. Buu Nygren.
Continuing across the Hopi three mesas, we arrive at Desert View watchtower for the first view of Grand Canyon.
First sunset day one at the canyon near Mather Point. Up at 3:30 am for an early shuttle to the South Kaibab trail for sunrise at Ooh Aah Point. Two miles farther down we rest at Skeleton Point before starting the long walk up and out.
Before leaving the beautiful Abiquiu region we hike the Chavez slot canyons. Last night in Abiquiu is a little stormy with rain coming in over Pedernal Mountain. Exploring Pueblo Bonito at Chaco Canyon gives us all some sense of the incredible level of culture and architecture from 1000 years ago in northwest NM. Coach would like to teach the world to sing.
The guys enjoyed the 650 foot bridge over the Rio Grande near Taos, NM. We spent two nights at Lake Abiquiu and were treated to the best of Benedictine hospitality at Christ in the Desert monastery.
It is almost pool time! Our pool will open to the public starting TOMORROW, May 24, 2023. The pool will be available to the public on Wednesdays between 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, and Sundays between 1:00 pm-5:00 pm.
After a good afternoon hiking and then an overnight stay at Villanueva, NM we start day two at the Saint Francis cathedral in Santa Fe.
