Today, Subiaco Academy came together for a beautiful Advent and Reconciliation service, led by our Academy Chaplain, Dcn. Roy Goetz. The service featured a reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians 4:4-7: "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice..."
We were blessed to have five priests present ~ one of our many benefits of being attached to Subiaco Abbey, our Benedictine monastery. Students were offered the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. Many embraced this chance for grace and renewal as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.

Last night was a joyful celebration of the season! 🎄✨ Our Jazz Ensemble, advanced and beginning guitar students created a holiday atmosphere with music, while the art gallery showcased the incredible talent of our young artists. The evening was capped off with a festive Christmas dinner, graciously served by faculty and parents to our students. What a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas!

🌟FAITH AND FOCUS🌟At Subiaco Academy, our students shine as leaders both in their faith and in their extracurricular interests-on the court, in the classroom, and beyond. Inspiring by example, they show what it means to lead with purpose and heart. One of those students is a senior from Nassau, Bahamas, Aaron Roker. Aaron is active as a tech manager in his home church in the Bahamas, and he regularly serves as a lector at our Subiaco Academy weekly student mass, and solemnity masses. At Subiaco, Aaron also is an active leader on the Senior High Varsity Basketball team, the CASA club (Cultural Awareness at Subiaco Academy), FBLA, and is an active part of the Outdoor Adventure leadership program and the yearbook staff. Also, being selected as an Academy athletic prefect, he oversees gym access during student hours, manages equipment and ensures safety. When at home, he works with family at his father's construction business. "My faith teaches me the importance of humility, integrity, and serving others, which guides my leadership both on the basketball court and in everyday life. It helps me lead with empathy, prioritize teamwork, and remain grounded in difficult situations." This heart-felt faith is evident in Aaron's calm and gentle demeanor, reflecting a quiet confidence which makes him very approachable.
