Our academy topped off Catholic Schools Week 2025 with Eucharistic Adoration. Students chose which hour of the day to spend time with Jesus in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is a way to be present with the Lord and focus on actively listening to His word through prayer. We are very fortunate to have our Subiaco Abbey adjacent to our school on campus, and have access to the Blessed Sacrament and opportunities for the sacrament of Reconciliation daily. #CSW2025 #subiacoacademy #benedictine #arkansascatholicschools

We are so grateful for the gift of time, talent, and taste as our Catholic Schools Week finishes with a "Taste of Subiaco" event!
We thank the Menjivar family (Sra. Ana Cortez, David- Class of 2021, Marvin-Class of 2025), and Yolanda Ramirez (Abuela of Collin Cummins- Class of 2026), for turning our Subiaco Food Service area into a culinary classroom for pupusas.
Señora Flores, the Spanish language students, Mrs. Chuang, the Chinese language students, and the Kitchen Staff had so much fun learning how to prepare this traditional Salvadoran food. They made over 700 pupusas! And our students LOVED it!
Our kitchen also followed the Bahamian recipe for Pineapple tart, shared by one of our international Subiaco parents, Ms. Gina Bartlett. Our community greatly enjoyed this dessert, and we thank our parents for their heartfelt involvement.
Our volunteers spent 12-14 hours on Thursday and Friday creating these delicious treats as a labor of love.

National Catholic Schools Week is a special week for Subiaco Academy and all Catholic schools, as we celebrate the blessings of Catholic education.
On Wednesday, our entire student body and faculty traveled to St. Edward's Catholic Church in Little Rock, a special pilgrimage site for the 2025 Jubilee Year. The pastor of St. Edward's parish is Father Juan Manjarrez, one of our Subiaco Academy alumni.
Our Fr. Reginald Udouj, OSB, celebrated a private Mass for our pilgrimage group and then all enjoyed touring the church, learning the history, and eating lunch in the parish hall.

Happy Lunar New Year 2025! This is a festival that will last for the next two weeks. Our CASA club (Cultural Awareness at Subiaco Academy) will have festivities next week and our entire student body will benefit.
