Ways to Improve

Each autonomous monastery in the Swiss-American Congregation has two deliberative and consultative assemblies: the Chapter and the Council. The Chapter is made up of the perpetually professed monks of the community. The Council of a monastery consists of the prior, the subprior, and other councilors both 1-elected by the Chapter, for terms whose length shall be determined by the Customary of the monastery; and, 2-other councilors appointed by the abbot. It was the Monastic Council of Subiaco that created the Office of Child Protection as a response to the ongoing child sexual abuse scandals throughout the country. We would welcome your assistance.

We monks have been educating youth in Arkansas for over 100 years. Since our founding in 1878, Subiaco has been striving to ensure that no person (child or adult) is harmed or abused. We have in place a stringent set of safe environment programs, but we are always open to suggestions for how to do something better. If you are so inclined, you may provide below your suggestions for any improvements that we might undertake to ensure the protection of all on the Hill.

Thanks and God bless!
