Trojans lose two

varsity basketball game

The Trojans lost two tough games last week as they let a lead slip away at Dover. Later in the week the Trojans fell behind Heber Springs, came back but could not get over the hump. On Tuesday, Subiaco traveled to Dover and led for much of the game but was unable to sustain their play in the fourth period and let a hard-fought game slip away 58-53. Elvis Janga led the Trojans with 16 points, Matthew Kremer tossed in 13. On Friday, Subiaco hosted a strong Heber Springs team. That size and strength gave the Trojans fits inside all night. The Trojans had a terrible second period and found themselves trailing 32-19 at the half. Fighting hard in the second half, the Trojans cut the lead to 4 with several chances to pull the game out. Unfortunately, it was not a good shooting not for many of the Trojans and Heber left the gym with a 56-50 win. Jackson Frederick led the Trojans with 15 points. The junior high Trojans beat Heber Spring junior high 53-35.
