Our Accreditation

In the United States system of secondary education, we have public schools, charter schools, private schools, religious schools, and home schooling. Within each of these categories there are further sub-categories of specialization. On the one hand this means that there are a myriad of opportunities that are afforded to an American student seeking an exemplary secondary education. On the other hand, it can become difficult in knowing whether a particular school meets the high quality and educational standards that you are hoping for in the training, education, and formation of a student. To that end, there are various accrediting agencies and educational associations that have been formed to ensure not only a basic minimal level and standard of education, but also others that demand an even higher standard of care and instruction from their members. This is where your review of any secondary school should be based not only on what the school may say, write, self-report, or publicize, but also upon the number and quality of their outside accreditations and associations that exact rigorous standards, regular on-site reviews and evaluations, and ongoing oversight. Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association

The Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association has been established to assure parents of a quality return for their investment. A school that is accredited has the personnel, equipment, resources, and the general capability of providing those services that are needed for the education of their children.The mission of the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association, Inc. (ANSAA) is to maintain and enhance the quality of education within our diverse member schools through assessment, accountability, and internal review.  Using a process of self-study and professional site visits, ANSAA schools demonstrate compliance with established standards which are designed to support ongoing improvement.

Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS)

The Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) is a membership organization of more than 230 independent schools from 13 states of the Midwest region. In a typical semester ISACS organizes approximately 135 visiting team members for 20 school visits. ISACS provides: A full-scale accreditation program for each member school every seven years, conducted by a team of highly respected teachers and administrators; detailed reports on school visits to guide program development and strategic planning for schools; and, accreditiation services to over 500 schools since such services began in 1961.


AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. While our expertise is grounded in more than a hundred years of work in school accreditation, AdvancED is far from a typical accrediting agency. Our goal isn’t to certify that schools are good enough. Rather, our commitment is to help schools improve. Combining the knowledge and expertise of a research institute, the skills of a management consulting firm and the passion of a grassroots movement for educational change, we serve as a trusted partner to 34,000 schools and school systems—employing more than four million educators and enrolling more than 20 million students—across the United States and 70 other nations.

National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)

The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) is a nonprofit membership association that provides services to more than 1,800 schools and associations of schools in the United States and abroad, including more than 1,500 independent private K-12 schools in the U.S. Of the nearly 55 million school children in America, just under 10 percent attend private schools. Of private school students, 671,000 are in NAIS member independent schools. The NAIS Principles of Good Practice for member schools define high standards and ethical behavior in key areas of independent school operations. The PGPs reflect the overall dedication to quality education that has always characterized independent schools.


NCEA is the largest, private professional education association in the world. NCEA works with Catholic educators to support ongoing faith formation and the teaching mission of the Catholic Church. Our membership includes more than 150,000 educators serving 1.9 million students in Catholic education. As a professional association whose focus is Catholic school education, NCEA’s focus is to lead, learn and proclaim by: Developing current and future leaders; providing educational resources and strategically expanding professional development opportunities for those committed to the mission of Catholic education; and, serving as the national voice for Catholic schools.

Association of Boarding Schools

The Association of Boarding Schools serves college-preparatory boarding schools in the United States, Canada, and around the globe. The Association leads a domestic and international effort to promote awareness and understanding of boarding schools and to expand the applicant pool for member institutions. TABS is the comprehensive, indispensable resource for educators seeking training, research, guidance, and support on all issues pertaining to the residential school experience. TABS is the voice for independent boarding schools, their historical contribution to our world, and the current and compelling benefits of living and learning in an academic community.

Catholic Boarding Schools Association

The Catholic Boarding Schools Association seeks to draw upon hundreds of years of Catholic boarding school experience. The experience of a Catholic boarding school allows our students to build unique relationships with their peers and faculty. These relationships grow into something greater than ordinary friendships, they become family. Young men and women from all over the world push away inherent cultural difference to ultimately find that they share common goals and aspirations. CBSA member schools strive to teach our students how to develop the strategies and mental skills to become confident, able-minded individuals. Our qualified faculty and resident dorm parents work to set the foundation that will enable our students to find success far beyond their high school education. CBSA member schools pride themselves in creating life-long learners who are articulate, compassionate and have a greater sense of the world around them.
