Health is a required semester course with emphasis on teaching students how to live a healthier lifestyle physically, mentally, and socially, and how to make healthy decisions in one’s life in order to do so. The course will cover how to reduce behaviors and habits that put one’s health at risk by stressing the importance of having a healthy activity; a balanced and nutritious diet; abstaining from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco; and the importance of abstinence from sexual relations before marriage. The course will instruct students on how to manage stress and how to have healthy relationships. It will describe the various workings of the various body systems and will educate on various non-communicable and communicable diseases. Also covered will be the importance of keeping one’s living environment safe as well as the outside environment.
