Thank you for your interest in Subiaco Academy!
We as the faculty of Subiaco Academy—whether administration, coaches, deans, teachers, or any combination thereof—believe we have the highest obligation to uphold the mission of the school: to pr
ovide young men with the opportunity for a college preparatory education in a stable and structured environme
nt nurtured by Christian values. We strive to accomplish this mission by foll
owing the words of Christ in his commandments: “’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Mark 12:30-31). A guiding principle of my teaching career has always been to try to treat each of my students as I would want other teachers to treat my own children. As we keep in front of us the vision of our own sons, brothers, and nephews, we are dedicated and prepared in our teaching, and instruct our students in an encouraging and caring, yet consistently disciplined environment.
Our curriculum is dynamic. As Academic Dean, I stay abreast of trends in education and am always excited to offer new curricular opportunities to our students as well as the tried and true. As a faculty, we continually evaluate our curriculum and make sure that we are teaching our students the skills they need to score well on standardized tests, interview well for and obtain top-tier scholarships, and become successful, moral men who will lead our communities, churches, and governments in the future.
I look forward to visiting with you in person when you visit our campus.
May the Peace of Christ be with you,
Cheryl Armstrong Goetz
