A Little About Me:

In 2008 I was brought to Subiaco by a friend who considered joining the Abbey; after a 299-mile walk and 16 months of prayer, I also decided to look into the community. Subiaco is a place which will become a part of you if you are open to it, and because of this, I could not stay away. After two years of teaching in two outstanding Catholic Schools, I made the decision to return home to teach at the school where I first learned just how much I loved the classroom. I come from a family with a teaching past. My grandmother and mother both taught in elementary schools; each retired after long careers. My younger brother has been teaching for ten years at the middle school level. These things have all influenced my choice to become a teacher and work to be the best I can be.

I first started coaching football after I graduated from High School helping with the 9th-grade program at Oxford High School in Oxford, AL. I have been a member of the coaching staff at three different schools: Gorman Catholic High School in Tyler, Tx; Sacred Heart in Ville Platte, LA; and McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, AL. I look forward to the upcoming school year of working with the parents and students who have also chosen Subiaco to be their home.

I enjoy reading and if you see me with a book in my hands, 9 times out of 10 it will be a Star Wars novel; I have quite a collection of somewhere around 235 books at this point. As for that 10th time, I might be reading a fantasy novel or a fiction thriller.

I was born in Syracuse, New York and grew up in Oxford, Alabama. My life to this point would fill a book; I will not bore you with all of the details here but know my classes are filled with stories from my storied past.
